The 55 km long Brenner Base Tunnel is a joint Austrian-Italian project to build a railway tunnel for passenger and freight traffic. It is being built parallel to the Brenner highway between Innsbruck and Franzensfeste and is scheduled to open in 2032 at the earliest.
For the segment production, we supplied a concrete distributor with segment doors with a volume of 4.0 m³. This is installed on a concrete spreader bridge with a 6.5 m span and can therefore be driven directly over the segments for filling.
